Passengers aboard the airline can soon use fast internet onboard free of charge after a major agreement with the billionaire's satellite provider.

Complimentary and Fast Wifi for All

The airline revealed that this complimentary, “fast and dependable” wifi service via SpaceX will be offered to travelers flying economy, premium economy, and first class starting soon.

The holding company for BA, International Airlines Group, stated it had finalized an deal involving Starlink to provide internet access on 500-plus jets within its carriers, such as the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, and the low-cost airline.

Smooth Connectivity starting at Boarding to Arrival

British Airways noted that the rollout for this system was part of a multi-billion pound “transformation” program and would provide smooth connectivity coverage for travelers starting at the gate to landing, also when traveling over oceans or remote regions.

Present Connectivity Options

Basic wifi access is presently offered for BA travelers on most of the airline's jets through its .air system.

Enrollees in the airline's reward scheme may transmit texts plus plain-text emails onboard at no cost, while flyers who want to watch music, movies, or content on their travel if not flying in business or first may be charged from £4.99 to twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for a connectivity package.

Their management have been striving to improve the airline around following a period with budget reductions, technology issues, strikes, and staff cuts.
