The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content on PS5 topics for the first time. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company remains determined to draw people in with quality releases on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

The two games you can play right now today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of terror and combat."

Intriguing Niche Additions

However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service by themselves. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and new-ish games that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — rendering them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
